another one bites the dust.

This morning, I completed Week 7 abs and cardio and my LISS (low intensity steady state cardio for those who would like to know) and tomorrow is a rest day so I am donezo with Week 7 of Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide.  This week was actually really enjoyable in terms of workouts.  I think Week 5/6 Legs and Cardio maybe my favorite workout I’ve done this whole time (and it was also definitely the sweatiest).

In other news, I am getting beastly at jump roping.  Today, I threw in some one legged hops and some really fast double jumps just for added fun and it felt amazing.  One of my favorite things about the BBG thus far is the fact that you have to do each workout twice on two spaced out weeks.  This allows you to see the progress you’ve made and see how much stronger you’ve gotten.  I remember dreading the arms and abs workout this week because when I did it for the first time, it was hellish.  This time around, I mentally braced myself and knocked that sucker out of the park.

Also, can we talk about all of the steps I took yesterday?!  Between my 5 mile run and assorted walks with Boo, I crushed it.  If you don’t have an Up or another fitness tracker, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fitness trackers always make me push it just a little bit harder.  Whether it’s parking a little bit farther away to make sure I get some steps in or doing an extra 5 minute cooldown at the gym to get my calories burned to an even number, I’m all about tracking the metrics.

To refuel after my long walk day, I chowed down on my latest obsession: Chobani Simply 100 Key Lime Blended Greek Yogurt.

If you are at all a fan of key lime pie, even just a little bit, you have to try this.  It’s creamy and delicious and with 12 grams of protein, you really can’t go wrong.  Plus, the Simply 100 series has far less sugar than the normal Chobani which we should all be striving for.

Speaking of sugar…

I made a choice tonight.  And that choice was to make Rice Krispie treats in the shape of easter eggs.  Now, I may not be able to move because of all of the marshmallow and cereal in my stomach, but are these not the cutest things?  I have snarfed down probably three one too many at this point, but I feel okay about it.  Some days, we all need a little sweet treat and I worked hard today so I can’t say it isn’t well deserved.  But, tomorrow is a different, cleaner day and I will strive to get my food back on track.  But until then, I will let these babies eye me down and I cannot promise I won’t eat another before the night is through.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I appreciate it. I have to tell you that whenever someone says that they hate running outside I automatically think, “Well, you just haven’t done it enough.” My bias.
And – love the Easter egg Rice Krispy treats – mine are usually consumed straight from the bowl without the benefit of additional molding.
