Thank you all so much for your positive words about my last post. The human body can be crazy thing and we need to take care of it as much as possible. We only each get one after all.
First off, I would like to thank my dog, Boo, for spilling water on my laptop a couple of days ago. Although I assumed all hope was lost in resurrecting my beloved friend, my Merlin of a boyfriend worked his magic and somehow got this baby back to its original splendor so I’m ready to blog away again.
I finished up Week 5 of Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide this week and man was it a killer. I love love loved the first circuit of legs and cardio, but I am just junk at abs. I never really did ab exercises before starting the program, just a whole bunch of planks and I can honestly say this is making a world of difference. I love that I can do the program from the comfort of my own living room in the morning before work and see such amazing results. I’ve been taking progress pictures and can really see true definition coming out in my arms and abs and I cannot complain even smidgen of a bit. And my running has improved significantly. It’s not that my times have drastically been cut or anything, but my runs just feel a lot easier, smoother, and more rewarding. Plus, I’m getting my milage back up into the 4 mile-5 mile range so I can’t complain there either. If you’re a runner, I HIGHLY recommend this program. You can incorporate your runs in with it and it works all the great running muscles while focusing on aerobic endurance. Two birds meet one stone.
Still thinking I should probably invest in some updated weights, but oh well. The only downside was that my neighbors came up last week and asked me to stop jumping so much, so I’m taken my jump-roping portion of the guide outside. Well at least I was…
Until it SNOWED AGAIN. What is this?! Honestly, if any northeastern person could explain to me why it snows so darn much here, I would be grateful. It was 55 degrees the other day, spring was on the precipice ready to jump into our loving arms, and then this happened. Not a fan. I treated myself to delivered sushi last night as I was pelted with white gunk, but I have never in my life been more ready for a season to be over. At least some positive came out of a negative.
