I swear to God, anytime I looked out of my window yesterday it was just a wall of white. Having not experienced a true snow storm in about 5 years, every time it has snowed this year, I have been so confused. Everything just seems to stop. It becomes eerily quiet outside and no one moves. I kind of like it to be honest. There’s something about just holing away that is comforting. But, I still had workouts to do and a little snow wasn’t going to deter me.
Yesterday was BBG Week 3 Full Body and it was a sweaty one. I have never really loved working out indoors at home. I can’t seem to get my heart rate up very high and I always feel like I’m wasting time more than anything when I try and do an exercise. This is NOT the case with Kayla Itsine’s workouts. I track all of my workouts with my Polar F4 and I regularly get my heart rate up in to the 170s with her workout which is about the same as when I do my runs. Strength training on top of that? Sign me up. I always feel incredibly accomplished when I finish one of her workouts and that’s something I can’t always say. If anyone has any questions about the BBG or my workouts, let me know. The best part of my workout was that Boo wanted to join in. Every time I would hit the floor to do push-ups or sit-ups, she would be right there trying to nudge me. Thus a game of tug-o-war between circuits began. A little workout for my triceps, a little workout for her chompers. No harm in that.
After finishing up my workout, I played the rest of the day pretty casual since I was more or less snowed in. Do you guys have fun indoor workouts that really make you sweat?
