It’s official, March is coming in with a bang. I have been swamped with work and am ready to move on to the next one please. The best way to deal with the stress of a hectic work schedule and multiple project due dates looming? Work it out at the gym.
Today’s gym jaunt consisted of an elliptical interval session, some stairs, and light weights to round it all out. I got through the grueling workout with a little help from my girl Whoopi. I love it when I can get my workouts to fit in with great TV. I alternated between the View and Cupcake Wars, and I’ve got to say the time flew. There’s something about watching the Food Network at the gym that is the perfect combination of feeling both so right and so wrong. Do any of you guys do it?
After slogging away, I was starved and pulled up to my kitchen with some severe hunger pangs. I opted to a veggie, egg white scramble with an apple and vanilla Chobani for dessert.
One of the greatest ways to get your veggies in is by adding them in to your scrambled eggs or as the filling of an omelet. I’ve never seen anyone truly screw up scrambled eggs, so it’s a safe meal for even the lousiest of chefs. Lunch today was chock full of broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms and it definitely filled me up.
After a long day, I am excited to get to bed. Tomorrow is BBG Week 3 Full Body. I am really loving the way these workouts take up so little time but make you really feel like you made an impact. Before starting BBG, I was lifting using a BodyBuilding.com guide and it just wasn’t for me. I’m the type of person that needs to sweat in order to feel like they’re really getting the most out of their workout. With the BBG, I most definitely sweat. Apologies all around to my boyfriend and my dog for having to see me post morning workout.
